The company takes on its current name – GDA Srl – with the entry of their two children, Gianluca and Donatella.
Laser machines and robotic centers for grinding and sharpening are introduced, allowing production to be upgraded and investments made in automating other production steps. The company headquarters is expanded to its current size.
Gianluca Adami deals full-time with the management of business activities, consolidating relationships with customers and developing new markets. The company becomes a major player in the production of carbide circular saw blades.
The company establishes GDA Trade in the Czech Republic to expand business in Central and Eastern Europe, with extensive sales and service in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia.
GDA establishes many more partnerships with various European distributors. Additional control systems are introduced to improve product quality.
The company makes a major technological upgrade that leads to interconnecting all production processes, thereby anticipating the Industry 4.0 philosophy: all machines are networked and controlled by internally developed software. This is a technological development with significant benefits in terms of productivity, control and speed of response.
